During my internships in Marketing, I have learned that words combined with visual aids can help engage a casual viewer in a brand whether it be through a media spotlight, email, or social channel.
In my roles as a student writer and photographer for campus publications I adjusted my writing to meet the interests of the faculty, students, and alumni who engaged with the content. The way words and images attract viewers fascinates me and inspires me to learn about new ways in which the two combined can be used to attract viewers to brands.

My liberal arts education at Furman University allowed me to delve into a variety of subjects.
As a student, I took classes in Mass Communications, Digital Communications, Economics, Media History, Principles of Marketing, and a variety of other courses relevant to my interests in Marketing Communications.
I have also had hands on experience with these subjects through various study abroad trips. In New Zealand, I learned about the media system of a small country and the struggles of developing a national identity. In France, I learned about differences in culture and the importance of having a diverse perspective. Additionally, my experience in Italy taught me about the style of travel writing for blogs and guide books.
I plan to take what I've learned both domestically and abroad and apply it to my career.
